Tension Crack:  A crack with constant depth, starting at a specified distance from the toe, can be considered.  Such a feature is useful in case negative normal stresses develop near the crest (ReSSA calculates and displays the normal stress over the critical surface); introduction of a crack can alleviate negative stresses. Water pressure can be accounted for in tension cracks.
